Model Shoot, Sarah, 1-5-10

Did a shoot with Sarah since she recently commissioned a bunch of custom tour outfits from Down with Fashion clothing. We finally got a chance to do a video, it’s nothing stellar but we finally got around to it!

Here are some final shots!

Mike and Kim Preview, 1-02-10

So, for our first wedding of the year, we had a total blast. Kim and Mike were an awesome couple and their whole wedding party was a total dream. We had a ton of fun, from photographing Kim getting ready at the Marriott in Robinson, the snaps we took at the beautiful ceremony, braving the eighteen degree weather (brrr), to returning to the Marriott for their stellar reception.

It was a really amazing way to start off 2010 for everyone!

The day began at the Marriott near the Pittsburgh Airport, where Kim and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The girls all looked great, and we got there just in time to photograph Kim getting her hair and make-up done. She looked totally gorgeous! After she and her mom got ready, it was time to put on the dress. Lacing up the back is one of our favorite shots to get, so Kim’s dress was perfect.  After the dress was on, we took a few shots of Kim on the room, which turned out great. Then it was off to the church!

After the ceremony we went out to do photos at the Convention Center and the Pennsylvanian. Despite the freezing temps, the whole bridal party really rocked it! Kim was a total trooper in her strapless dress, and complained less than we did!

Next up was going back to the Marriott for the reception (with DJ Andy Booth, who did an awesome job!), where Kim had a suprise for Mike, an adorable groom’s cake. The venue was stunning, with blue uplighting and these amazing centerpieces with floating candles. We all had a great time, and from the wild activity on the dance floor, it looked like everyone else did too!

Since it was our first wedding of 2010, here’s a larger sneak peek than usual:

Model Shoot, Sarah Burgess, 12/28

Yesterday, we had a great shoot with Sarah in the snow. One of our very own photographers made her dress, and everything turned out great. Here are the results:

Jess and Tom, Rock the Dress, 10-31

Our good friends Jess and Tom, who are located just outside of Philadelphia, got married in September and had us do a rock the dress the next month. They were totally awesome, since we had them go to Ringing Rocks State Park, near Upper Black Eddy PA. They hoofed it out to the 8 acre field of boulders, then hiked to Keller’s Cellar (a rock formation in the park) and High Falls. On the drive back home, we found a beautiful field and got some great shots just before the rain came.

Also, expect to see Jess and Tom’s Christmas card, featuring one of our photos, posted later in the week!

Brittany Rotto. Model Shoot, 12-12

More shots of Brittany, we just love shooting together! She and the MUAs brought such a great energy to the shoot and the concepts were awesome. We bought wayyyy too many balloons, which ended up everywhere after the shoot. But the photos turned out excellent!

Sarah Burgess, Model Shoot, 12-11

Our wonderful friend, model and singer Sarah Burgess, did another shoot with us the other day. As usual, we had a ton of fun and got some really great photos. She brought a small portion of her huge wardrobe to play with, here’s a few select shots:

Brittany Rotto, Model Shoot, 12-5

Another shoot with the lovely Brittany! This time we did a high-fashion shoot, with an outfit made by one of our photographers! Brittany’s mother was kind enough to let us use her salon (Danielle’s Beauty Salon in Natrona Heights) for our hair and make-up before the shoot. The makeup artist did a stellar job on hair and make up, and the photos turn out excellent.

Derbyshire Family Portraits

Over Thanksgiving weekend we had the pleasure of doing a few family portraits. The kids had a great time playing outside while the weather was still decent. Here’s a quick peek at the photos:

Heather, Model Shoot 11-22

Another amazing model shoot today, this time with the awesome Heather. This time we shot at the abandoned Beverly Hills Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA. We got some really amazing shots running around this, it’s nice to still be able to get such beautiful shots of the place despite the state of decay. Everytime we shoot there the shots get better and better.
Here’s a peek of the outcome:

Welcome to Pittsburgh Wedding net

Choosing a Pittsburgh wedding photographer for your big day is almost as important as choosing the right dress.  The right photographer is essential for creating lasting memories you can share with the world.  There are many professional photographers to choose from in the Pittsburgh area, and picking one out of the lot might be a little intimidating.

Before making a decision, think of all the wedding photographer questions you’ll need to have answered.  For instance, how much do they charge per event or if they charge by the hour.  Also, ask them if they need you to supply any additional items to enhance the quality of the pictures.  This might entail different types of floral arrangements or certain backdrops that you want seen in your photos.

Another thing to keep in mind is that an individually owned wedding photographer business might be more within your price range.  Look through their portfolios and see if the quality of their photographs meets with your standards.  You don’t have to go with the most expensive companies to obtain a true professional photographer.  An independent studio will not only save you money, but will still give you beautiful wedding portraits.

If you’re planning a wedding in or around the Pittsburgh area, you have a lot of options for your pictures.  Making arrangements for the perfect wedding entails a lot of time and effort.  By taking the time to choose the right Pittsburgh wedding photographer, you’ll know that you’ll have something to keep all those precious moments alive for years to come.
